Gorst Rural was founded back in 1986, by Peter Gorst. Back then, the business was much smaller than it is today, but provided Peter with the grounding to combine his love of agriculture with a desire to grow a business that would benefit not only his family, but the whole community.

Once a small business, Gorst Rural is now a multi-faceted rural supplies operation servicing the entire Western Victorian region. From those humble beginnings, Peter grew the company to its current point, where it comprises of 4 additional branches in Willaura, Tatyoon, Skipton and Derrinallum.

As a family-owned business, Gorst Rural still maintains the values upon which it was built back in 1986. It’s all about providing the right products to customers when they need it, and at the right price. Old fashioned customer service has always been a cornerstone of Gorst Rural, and that also continues today, with the company upholding a strong presence in the local community.

Peter always maintained a strong customer service focus, and combined with his sharp business acumen, he’s helped his clients become some of the most successful in the region. Sadly, Peter passed away in January 2013, but his legacy of great service and superior agricultural supplies lives on to this day.
