TIPS FOR PADDOCK COLLECTION

For best practice and most accurate results from faecal egg counting, here are some instructions on how to collect samples.

  • Disturb resting mob in the paddock, and push into the nearest corner
  • Hold mob in corner of the paddock for approximately 10-15 minutes or until most of the mob have excreted faeces
  • Move slowly in towards the mob so they move out at their own pace and avoid samples being trodden on
  • Using gloves, collected small portions of WARM FRESH faeces and place in plastic collection bags that we can supply for you.
  • Keep refrigerated and drop into the store as soon as possible
